Rogers – Evelyn "LaVaughn" Rogers of Mitchell, IN, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at her residence. Born on May 28, 1934, in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of Harold Auker and Beulah (Skinner) Goodson. She married Clifford M. Rogers in 1954, and he preceded her in death in 1989. Surviving are her mother of Bedford, IN; four daughters: Sharon Clark and husband, Ralph, of El Dorado Hills, CA, Tina Rogers of Mitchell, IN, Deborah Rogers of Downey, CA, and Tammy Alvarado and husband, Edwin, of Ontario, CA; two sons: Roger Rogers and wife, Roxanne, of Fort Wayne, IN, and Lemond Rogers and wife, Anna, of Colorado Springs, CO; one sister, Virginia Stohler of Anderson, IN; one brother, Lowell Auker of Anderson, IN; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, two sisters: Marlene Walker and Norma Jean Lempke; and three brothers: Lemond, Lemoine and Ludwig Auker. She was a retired caregiver with T.S.I. in Bedford. She attended the Hillcrest Christian Church and the First Church of God, both in Bedford. On Sunday nights, she attended the Mitchell Church of God. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at the Hillcrest Christian Church in Bedford, IN. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford, IN, and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, November 4, 2006, at the Hillcrest Christian Church.

Chastain – Alma Chastain of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the Hospitality House in Bedford. Surviving are one daughter, Almeta Walker of Bedford, IN; two sons: Curtis and Jack Chastain, both of Bedford, IN; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She had been a custodian at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, IN, and had worked at Trav-Ler Corporation. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at the Beech Grove Cemetery in Bedford. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2006, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. Trace – Theodora Trace of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the Hospitality House in Bedford. Surviving are one son, Steve Trace and wife, Mary, of Cincinnati, OH; one daughter, Lisa Trace of Vallejo, CA; four siblings and eight grandchildren. She retired from Joseph Industries in Paoli, IN. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2006, at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Bedford, IN.

Edie – Vincent James "V.J." Edie of Bedford, IN, died Friday, October 27, 2006. Born on October 27, 1984, he was the son of James Edie and Regina Holbrook Terry. Surviving are his parents: Regina Terry and husband, Monte, and James Edie, all of Bedford, IN; his girlfriend, Jessica Bugh of Bedford, IN; one brother, Chris Edie of Bedford, IN; two sisters: Layna Terry of Bedford, IN, and Brenna Nikirk of Williams, IN; grandparents: Bob and Betty Stancombe of Bedford, IN, and Bill and Norma Terry of Silverville, IN; aunts and uncles: Earl and Sharon Holbrook of Bedford, IN, David and Tara Holbrook of Bloomington, IN, Donna Gronski of Evansville, IN, Dwight and Nancy Holbrook of Oaktown, IN, Vinnie Holbrook and Lori Moore of Elletsville, IN, Marty and Mary Terry of Florida, Mike and Stacey Terry of Bedford, IN, Tim and Suzette Stancombe of Bedford, IN, Robert Robinson of Bedford, IN, Larry and Judy Bailey of Silverville, IN, and Steve and Jeaneen Sons of Bedford, IN; and several cousins. A fund has been established at the Hoosier Hills Credit Union in memory of "V.J." Edie. Ellis – Jan Arlene Ellis of Mitchell, IN, died Friday, October 27, 2006, at her residence. Born on December 21, 1934, in Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, California, she was the daughter of Harold Glenn and Muriel (Rogers) Hoover. She married John R. Ellis on December 24, 1951, and he survives. Also surviving are two sons: Michael Ellis of Jeffersonville, IN, and Robert Ellis of Mitchell, IN; one daughter, Katherine Avery and husband, Michael, of Jeffersonville, IN; his step-father, Wayne Bass of West Baden Springs, IN; one half-brother, Glenn Hoover, Jr. of Clay Center, KS; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was retired from General Electric. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and had been a member of the Altar Society, Forensic Forum, and the Lawrence County Mental Health Association. She was a member of the Class of 1952 of the Mitchell High School. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2006, in the Memorial Chapel of the Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell, IN, with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Ratkovich – John Ratkovich of Bedford, IN, died Friday, October 27, 2006, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center in Bedford. Born on December 13, 1919, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Matthew and Mary (Dawson) Ratkovich. He married Betty L. Brock on June 28, 1946, and she preceded him in death on November 7, 1981. He then married Betty Sipes Poole on October 9, 1982, and he survives. Also surviving are four sons: James M. Ratkovich and wife, Renae, John D. Ratkovich and wife, Shelly, all of Bedford, IN, Dan Poole and wife, Chris, of Ohio, and Ralph "Frog" Poole and wife, Dewon, of Orleans, IN; four daughters: Janey Murphy and husband, Gene, of Columbus, IN, Mary Brashear and husband, Johnny, Vicki Woods and husand, Glenn, all of Bedford, IN, and Zella Reynolds and companion, Dean Fullen, of Mitchell, IN; three sisters: Katie Poole, Rosa Taylor and Mildred Ratkovich, all of Bedford, IN; one brother, Daniel Ratkovich and wife, Mary Levena, of Bedford, IN; twenty grandchildren: James E. He was a member of the UAW Local No. 440 and was of the Protestant faith. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, IN, with Pastors Frank Johnson and Jan Spaulding officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayetteville Church of Christ Cemetery in Fayetteville, IN. Military rites will be accorded by members of the American Legion Gillen Post No. 33. Armstrong – Kent H. Armstrong of Springville, IN, died Thursday, October 26, 2006, at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. Born on September 21, 1950, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Harry T. and Gladys (Germ) Armstrong. Surviving are his mother and one sister, Janet Armstrong, both of Springville, IN; aunts and uncles: Don and Rose Armstrong of Springville, IN, and Ethel Hochevar and Thelma Kissick of Colorado; cousins: Joe Armstrong and Alan Armstrong, both of Springville, IN, Diane Withrow, John and Randy Hochevar and Cheryl Hoglund, all of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his father and one cousin, Leslie Hassfurder. He was a graduate of the Oolitic High School and Purdue University. He was co-owner and operator of the Armstrong Farm Company with his mother and sister. He served one term on the Lawrence County Council and was a current member of the Springville Feeder Auction. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford, IN, with Reverend Bob Kirkman officiating. Deckard – Barbara Jean Deckard of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford. Born on February 20, 1931, in Flint, MI, she was the daughter of Gladys V. Main and Ray Atwell. She married William A. Deckard on April 8, 1950, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1995. Surviving are one son, William A. Deckard, Jr., of Indianapolis, IN; one daughter, Wendy Boyer of Oklahoma; one sister, Joann H. Suski of Fenton, MI; one brother, Gordon Atwell of Fenton, MI; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the ive Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors of America. A private family service was conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2006, at the Fergson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, IN. Burial followed in the Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Huelsman – Heather A. (Barr) Huelsman of Springville, IN, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at her residence. Born on March 1, 1963, she was the daughter of Jack Barr and Alida (Borgeson) Evensen. She married Eugene Huelsman on October 28, 1992, and he survives. Also surviving are one son, Zach Huelsman, at home; her father of Hamilton, Ontario; her mother of Dunnellon, FL; three sisters: Litza Boothe of Woodbridge, VA, Fia Austin of Tarpon Springs, FL, and Tanya Paulison of Miami, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2006, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary in Bedford, IN, with Reverend Ken Ransom officiating. Smith – Emma M. Smith of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, IN. Born on June 28, 1931, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Richard and Maggie (Eagan) Fields. She married James G. Smith on July 24, 1950, and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Susan S. Smith of Oolitic, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Harley "Dutch", Claty "Jake", Charlie, Richard and Ray Fields, and one sister, Bess Robertson. She retired from M. Fine & Sons in Bedford. She was of the Protestant faith. Services will be private. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery in Bedford, IN. There will be no calling hours. Ritter – Emma Louise Ritter of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, October 22, 2006, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center in Bedford. Born on April 4, 1917, she was the daughter of Adolph and Mabel (Rager) Bahr. She married Berlin Ritter on April 5, 1942, in Bedford, IN, and he preceded her in death on October 23, 1987. Surviving are one daughter, LaDonna K. Davis of Bedford, IN; one son, Carroll D. Ritter of Williams, IN; one sister, Ruby Anderson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charles Bahr. She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of the Bedford High School. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women's Society and was the Lincoln School PTA Past President. She played the piano at church for over fifty years and taught Sunday School. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2006, at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, IN, with Reverend Ted Murphy officiating. Braman – Charlotte Braman of Mitchell, IN, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center in Mitchell. Born on July 22, 1936, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of J. Carl and Pauline (Tirey) Isom. Surviving are one brother, Kenneth Ison and wife, Alice, of Mitchell, IN; and three nephews: Jeff, Greg and Eric Isom. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was employed at Hoosier Uplands Home Health and had previously worked at Carpenter Body Works. She was a graduate of the Mitchell High School, a member of the First Baptist Church in Mitchell, and an inactive member of the Tri Kappa Sorority. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Mitchell, IN, with Reverend Bill Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Radulovich – Dorothy "Teresa" Radulovich of Williams, IN, died Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center in Bedford, IN. Born on February 9, 1933, in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of Peter and Eva (Tonkovich) Radulovich. Surviving are three daughters: Michele M. Bruun and husband, Walter, of Glen Ellyn, IL, Denise D. Piver of Williams, IN, and Renee R. Johnson and husband, Christopher, of Williams, IN; one son, Robert J. Piver of Portage, IN; one sister: Angela Toman and husband, John, of Hobart, IN; one brother, Donald Radulovich of Hobart, IN; two granddaughters: Sophia E. and Isabella M. Bruun; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a homemaker and served at the Assumption Catholic Church B.V.M. in Lake Station as a lector. Herrington – Clara Exell Herrington of Mitchell, IN, died Friday, October 20, 2006, at the StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford, IN. Born on September 18, 1923, in Lexington, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Fred L. and Cora Ella (Petty) Parker. She married Charles R. Herrington on February 15, 1943, and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1998. Surviving are two daughters: Sandra K. Bugh and husband, Charles, of Bedford, IN, and Wanda C. Mills and husband, Dennis, of Mitchell, IN; one sister, Lois B. Hopper of Jackson, TN; one brother, Fred L. Parker of Lexington, TN; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gladys Parker; and two brothers: William D. and David W. Parker. She was a homemaker and member of the Woodville Baptist Church. Born on July 10, 1952, in Lima, OH, she was the daughter of Orville S. and Katherine F (Kibler) Redmon. Surviving are three sons: T. Scott Staley and wife, Robin, of Oolitic, IN, Rodger K. Staley and wife, Beth, of Oolitic, IN, and James R. Staley of Bedford, IN; one sister, Margie A. Boling and husband, Paul, of Oolitic, IN; three grandsons: Jeffrey and Jared Staley, both of Oolitic, IN, and Alex Staley of Clevelend, OH; three granddaughters: Chelsea Lewis of Cleveland, OH, and Jalyn and Trenadee Staley, both of Oolitic, IN; and two nieces: Candy Ragsdale and Brandy Magnus, both of Oolitic, IN. She was a nurse's aide at the Dunn Memorial Hospital and Hospitality House in Bedford, IN. She was a graduate of the Bedford High School. She was a member of the Bedford Boat Club, where she was President of the Ladies' Auxiliary. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bedford. Anderson – Carl B. Anderson of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on May 28, 1929, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Knute Nicholas and Edna M. (Baumgren) Anderson. He married Imogene Smith on November 21, 1953, in Bedford, IN, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Lynette Martin and husband, James, of Bedford, IN; one son, Randy Carl Anderson and wife, Debbie, of Bedford, IN; two sisters: Elaine Shaffer and Lilley Gorenson, both of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: April Anderson, Jamie Young and husband, Brian, and Danielle Anderson and companion, Anthony Seri; and two great-grandduaghters: Jolee Young and Angelena Zeri. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister, and one grandson, Joey Martin. He was a veteran serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a retired street mechanic for Peoples Gas, Light & Coke Company in Chicago, IL. He was of the Protestant faith. "Dick" Lofland of Oolitic, IN, died Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at his residence. Born on May 24, 1931, in Beloit, OH, he was the son of Madelaine Wilt. He married Barbara Jenkins on January 25, 2002, and she survives. Also surviving are four children: Gay Gardner of Kent, OH, Holly Gilbert of Tallmadge, OH, Stephen Lofland of West Baden Springs, IN, and Randall Lofland of Columbus, OH; four step-children: Kimberly Pierce of Oolitic, IN, Susan Gunderson of Bedford, IN, Jammie Mundy of Needmore, IN, and Amber Andis of Mitchell, IN; seven grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a retired railroad worker for Conrail. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2442, the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1686, the American Legion Post No. 76, the Rockton Masonic Lodge No. 316 in Kent, OH, and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Valley of Canton Masonic Lodge in Canton, OH. "Bill" Smith on June 23, 1951, in Brownstown, IN, and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Barbara Sizelove and Patsy Bertrum. He worked for RCA for forty-four years, retiring in 1997. He retired from the Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department in 1994 after twelve years of service. He worked part-time at Big Lots Store and the United States Forrest Service. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 1424. He pastored at the Pleasant Run, Knight Ridge and Friendship Churches. He also served in nursing home ministry at the Hospitality House in Bedford, IN. He attended Englewood Baptist Church. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the Englewood Baptist Church in Bedford, IN, with Reverend David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Hayes Cemetery. Gregory – David E. Gregory of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at the StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford. Born on April 5, 1941, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Everett "Doc" and Dorothy (Rosenbaum) Gregory. He married Rose Ellen Martin on January 29, 1962, in Bedford, IN, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Terri Gregory-Belcher and husband, Robert, of Bedford, IN; two sons: David Allen Gregory of Bedford, IN, and Michael Gregory and wife, Nicole, of Millington, TN; his mother, Dorothy Gregory of Bedford, IN; three sisters: Betty Wagoner and husband, Gene, of Bedford, IN, Sue May and husband, Ron, of Plainfield, IN, and Kim Parkes and husband, Kerry, of Bedford, IN; one brother, Bill Gregory and wife, Peggy, of Bedford, IN; three grandchildren: Hannah Gregory of Bedford, IN, and Madison and Clayton Gregory, both of Millington, TN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother in infancy, James; and another brother, Bob. He retired in 2002 after thirty-five years as a layout inspector for General Motors. He was a member of the UAW Local No. 440 and a graduate of the Bedford High School. Luse – Alonzo "Bill" Luse of Bedford, IN, died Monday, October 16, 2006, at his residence. Born on December 4, 1912, in Goodland, IN, he was the son of Frank and Jenny (Coates) Luse. He married Neva June May on August 5, 1939, and she survives. Also surviving are one son, Jon Luse of Scottsburg, IN; two daughters: Jill Orender of Bedford, IN, and Jaynee Simmerman of Oolitic, IN; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Jolene Luse; five sisters and one brother. He was a veteran serving during World War II. He retired as Principal of the Bedford North Lawrence High School in 1981. His career began in 1938 as an industrial arts/ PE teacher at Needmore. He also taught an coached basketball at Ellettsville, Springville, Oolitic, Mitchell and Bedford High Schools. He coached the Oolitic Bearcats to a sectional championship in 1954. He was instrumental in establishing the football program at the Bedford High School. He was principal of the Oolitic High School for five years before becoming director of personnel and curriculum for the North Lawrence Community Schools in 1965. He was appointed by the state of Indiana as chairman of a committee to reorganize Lawrence County High Schools into what is now the North Lawrence Community Schools. He was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church for over sixty years, having taught Sunday School for over fifty years. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2006, at the Avoca Baptist Church in Avoca, IN, with Reverend Kyle Witmer and Reverend Bob Kirkman officiating. Born on September 2, 1924, in Wayne County, KY, he was the son of Sherman and Myrtie (Hammond) Sexton. Surviving are three daughters: Pauline Rowe and husband, John, of Oolitic, IN, Mary Sue (Susie) Turner and husband, Greg, of Avoca, IN, and Debbie Adams and husband, Chuck, of Bedford, IN; three sisters: Gertie Hammond, Evalee Riddle and Gladys Tucker, all of Monticello, KY; three grandchildren: David Sexton of Bedford, IN, Melissa Rowe of Oolitic, IN, and Atalie Adams-Anderson of Bedford, IN; four great-grandchildren: Shane Rowe, Emma Grubb, Titan Sexton and Jade Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Alvin, Dewey, Jim and Obie Sexton; and one sister, Martha Godsey. He worked for forty-five years at the Woolery Stone Company. He was a member of the Laborers International Union. Chastain – Vivian E. Chastain of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, October 14, 2006, at the Hospitality House in Bedford. Born on May 13, 1925, she was the daughter of Emmett and Kate (Ellis) Owen. She first married William Vernon Pierce on July 23, 1943, and he preceded her in death on June 17, 1987. She then married Jack Chastain on January 3, 1989, and he survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Robbie Pierce Fletcher and husband, J. Dillard, of Elkhart, IN; one sister, Ruth Johnson of Bedford, IN; three grandsons: Joshua Fletcher and wife, Ashley, Quinton Fletcher and wife, Rachael, and Adam Fletcher and wife, Anna; one great-granddaughter, Lorellei Fletcher; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Vera Jane McPike and Violet uncan; and three brothers: Farrell, Russell and John Owen. She retired from General Motors. Roach – Evalou Roach of Mitchell, IN, died Thursday, October 12, 2006, at the Mitchell Manor. Born on June 1, 1915, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Everett and Lizzie (Byrd) Wood. She married Grover Roach on April 14, 1934, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1973. Surviving are two daughters: Patricia Bays and husband, Don, of Ocala, FL, and Janet Smith and husband, Jerry, of Huntington, IN; two granddaughters, three grandsons, seven great-granddaughters, three great-grandsons, three great-great-granddaughters, three great-great-grandsons, two step-granddaughters, six step-great-grandchildren, and four step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: William E., Charles A., and Jesse R. Wood; one step-son, Dr. Paul Roach; and one cousin, Horace Tyree. She had worked at Tindal's Hardware and Restaurant in Bedford, IN, for many years. She was a member of the Class of 1933 of the Mitchell High School. She was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Bedford, IN. Girtman – Donald Girtman of Bedford, IN, died Monday, October 9, 2006, at the Core Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford. Born on December 22, 1931, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Calvin Virgil and Halen (Pelfrey) Girtman. He first married Relda Godsey and she preceded him in death. He later married Vera Girtman in July, 1997, and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Helen Nola Thompson of North Hollywood, CA; one son, Manuel F. Coleman of Paramount, CA; one brother, Virgil Wayne Girtman of Denver, CO; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donald Girtman, Jr.; two grandsons and one brother. He was a trade welder and a retired security officer. He attended the Burgoon Church. Whitworth – Anita L. Whitworth of Mitchell, IN, died Sunday, October 8, 2006, at the Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, IN. Born on November 9, 1921, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of Alfred and Marie (May) Benninger. She married Kenneth William Whitworth in 1960, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 1999. Surviving are one son, Robert Brian Whitworth and wife, Lydia, of Flint, MI; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one step-daughter, Elaine Butz. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Johns Episcopal Church in Bedford. She was a former member of the Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorotity and a former Pink Lady at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker and worked at Fabricast (GM Powertrain) and Trav-Ler in Orleans, IN, before retiring. She was a member of the Fort Ritner Methodist Church. Russell – Janis Mae Russell of Florida died Friday, October 6, 2006, in Florida. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary Schrumpf. She married Wilburn Troy Russell and he preceded her in death. Surviving are three children: Rex Russell and wife, Carol, Dale Russell and wife, Vickie, and Neale Cockman; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren: Tyler, Lisa, Madeline, Larry, Lisa, Neo, Sebastian and Gracie. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a homemaker and volunteer in the Brevard County Guardian Ad Litem, South Brevard Humane Society, Melborne Public Library. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Melbourne Beach Women's Club, Loyal Order of the Moose, Pittsburgh Club, Sierra Club, Wilderness Association and Save the Manatees. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, one daughter, Barbara Jean Markham on January 4, 1994, in Bedford, IN; and one granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Meadows on September 10, 1958, in Frankfort, Germany.
