09/30/02 Ellis – Anna E. Ellis of Mitchell, IN, died Monday, September 30, 2002, at Mitchell Manor. Born on November 25, 1908, in South Bend, IN, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Yandel) Grabner. She married John Kern Ellis on October 5, 1929, and he died February 6, 1980. Surviving are three daughters: Marilyn Wright of Orinda, CA, Joan Atchison of Mitchell, IN, and Martha Bever of Cedaredge, CO; one son, John R. Ellis of Mitchell, IN; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James and Richard Ellis; five brothers; and one sister. She was a housewife and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mitchell. There will be a private family graveside service for Anna Ellis at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 3rd, at Ames Chapel Cemetery with Father Bernie Cox officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Haverly Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. 09/28/02 Pitman – Mona E. Pitman of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, September 28, 2002, at the Hospitality House. Born on September 8, 1900, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of William W. and Julia (Quackenbush) Pitman. Survivors include several cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother, Eathel Pitman. She had formerly worked at the Fair Store and the City of Bedford. She taught school for one year in Lawrence County grade schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Pythian Sisters. Services for Mona Pitman will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2nd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Curtis Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Friends are asked to memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church in Bedford. 09/26/02 Brown – Mary "Margueritte" Brown of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, September 26, 2003, at Mitchell Manor. Born on November 22, 1914, in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Earl and Eloise (Walls) Holsapple. She married Elvis J. (Buster) Brown, Sr. on May 19, 1933, and he died in 1974. Surviving are one son, Elvis J. Brown, Jr., and wife, Vickie, of Mitchell, IN; two brothers: Eugene Holsapple of Bedford, IN, and Robert Holsapple of Salem, IN; four grandchildren: Elvis "Charles and Lisa Brown of Bartlettsville, IN, Steven Brown of Heltonville, IN, Edward Brown of Norfolk, VA, Tony and Dorene Brown Smith of Heltonville, IN; one step-grandchild, Hazel Allen of Bedford, IN; eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters: Virginia Rose Holsapple, Imogene Rayhill, Betty Smith, and Catherine Moffitt; and two brothers, Raymond Holsapple and Herman Holsapple. Over the years she and her husband owned and operated several businesses in the Bedford area: the Friendly Tavern on I Street, Brown's Tavern on 16th Street, Silver Dollar Bar on J Street. She also dealt in, as well as collected, antiques for several years. She retired in 1972. She was of Catholic faith. There will be graveside services for Margueritte Brown at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 30th, at Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Donations may be made to the Boys Club or Limestone Girls Club or to a charity of one's choice. 09/25/02 Jacobsen – Marilyn (Moogie or Jake) Jacobsen of Florida, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on July 30, 1936, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Richard and Emma (Gann) Lambton. She was married to Richard Elliott Jacobsen and he resides in Redwing, MN. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Mark and Karen Beaver Jacobsen of Bedford, IN; two grandchildren, Kole and Kori Anna Jacobsen, both of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Madge Ballard and Fritzi Hopkins, both of Leesburg, FL; one brother, Gary Lambton of Mooresville, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jeanne (Shorty or Tootsie) Hayworth, and Lina (Lucy) Duncan; and one brother, Bennie Lambton. She was an LPN at Palm Beach County Detention Center in West Palm Beach, FL, a graduate of Bedford High School, and served in the the Fair Force from 1955 to 1958. She later served in the National Guard for several years and was an active member of the American Legion Post #0250 of Mitchell. She was of Protestant faith. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. 09/24/02 Baker – Vera Baker of Bedford, IN, died Tuesday, September 24, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on February 28, 1920, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Melvey and Harriett (Miller) Rainey. She married John Francis Baker in December, 1938, and he died on October 31, 1996. Surviving are three sons: John Fulton Baker and Larry Earl Baker, both of Seymour, IN, and Terry Lee Baker of Ellettsville, IN; two brothers, Virgil Rainey and Walter Rainey, both of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Mary Edith Rainey of Bedford and Lillian Woody of St. Cloud, FL; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; five brothers: George Rainey, Frank Rainey, Lawrence Rainey, Earl Rainey, and Richard Rainey; and two sisters, Louise Pendley and Alma Johnson. She was a homemaker and worked at S. S. Kresge Company in Bedford for five years. She was a member of Heltonville Baptist Church. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. 09/23/02 Brooks – Patricia (Pat) Brooks of Mitchell, IN, died Monday, September 23, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on December 24, 1936, in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of Hershel and Pearl (Hopper) Barrow. She married Herbert Brooks on January 10, 1970, and he survives. Surviving with her husband are two sons, Mike Thompson of Mitchell, IN, and Richard Brooks of Lafayette, IN; three daughters: Sheila Ferran, Vonda Carpenter, and Wanda Sykes, all of Bedford, IN; five brothers, five sisters, twenty-two grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was a homemaker and a member of the Woodville Baptist Church in Mitchell. Services for Patricia Brooks will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Glenn Hamer officiating. Burial will follow in New Unionville Little Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. 09/22/02 Sicard – DeEtta Sicard of Bedford, IN, died Sunday, September 22, 2002, at Westview Manor. Born on March 25, 1923, in Oklahoma City, OK, she was the daughter of Clarence and Elizabeth (Smalley) Bradshaw. She married Joseph R. Sicard on May 22, 1965, and he died on March 8, 1989. Surviving are two sons, William Partin of Bedford, IN, and Robert Sicard of Fairgroove, MO; one brother, Otto Bradshaw of California; and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Arlo Bradshaw. She retired from NWSC Crane and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the WAVES. She was a member of Life Tabernacle in Springville. Services for DeEtta Sicard will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 25th, at Life Tabernacle. A committal service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26th, at the Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, IN. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary. 09/20/02 Cassida – Wilma June (Sons) Cassida of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at her residence. Born on February 29, 1944, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Virgil "Buck" and Rubie (Bottorff) Sons. She married Ernest W. Cassida on November 20, 1964, at the New Union Christian Church in Eureka in Lawrence County, IN, and he survives. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Randy (Kathy) Burks and Mrs. Jon (Kim) Collins, all of Bedford, IN,; one granddaughter, Jessica Burks of Bedford, IN; one brother, James Sons of Fort Wayne, IN; one sister, Betty Jifkins of Paoli, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hope Collins; her parents; four sisters: Dorothy Kimbrell, Katherine Smith, Ellen Roberts, and Lois Padgett; and two brothers, Robert Sons and Jimmy Sons. She had worked at Bedford Regional Medical Center since 1974 and was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church. Keith – Brian Keith of Williams, IN, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at Westview Manor. Born on May 24, 1963, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Paul and Jewel Saunders Keith. Surviving are his parents of Williams, IN; one sister, Pauline Eads of Titusville, FL; three brothers: LaRon and Micah Keith, both of Bedford, IN, and Mickey Keith of Mitchell, IN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Andy Keith. He was a 1981 graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Quackenbush of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 20, 2002, at Mitchell Manor Living and Rahab Center. Born on August 1, 1919, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Arthur and Minnie (Eagans) Quackenbush. He married Mellie Beasley on August 30, 1941, and she died on December 5, 1984. He married Betty (Terrell) Baker on October 15, 1988, and she survives. Surviving with his wife are two sons, David Quackenbush of Bloomington, IN, and Rodger Quackenbush of Orleans, IN; one step-daughter, Sondra Mosier of Bedford, IN; one sister, Ilene Wood of Bedford, IN; two grandsons, Seth Quackenbush and Adam Quackenbush; one step-grandson, Erik Mosier; one step-granddaughter, Reagan Norman. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Ariel, Orin, and Carl Quackenbush; and two sisters, Cora Reuter and Beulah Walker. He was owner of Art-Ful Floral Container Company and was a patent holder for monument saddles. He was a farmer, a 1937 graduate of Fayetteville High School, attended Purdue University, and was a US Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford and a member of Marvin R. Davis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9107. Services for Doyle Quackenbush will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 23rd, at Chastain Funeral Home with the Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Martin American Legion Post #250. 09/19/02 Dawson – Ilene Dawson of Kissimmee, FL, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, September 19, 2002, at Donegan Health Care in Kissimmee. Born on February 28, 1924, in Oolitic, IN, she was the daughter of Ben and Mamie I. (Covey) Moore. Surviving are one son, Freddie Dale Dawson of Kissimmee, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Moore and Willburn Moore. She was a homemaker. There will be no calling hours. 09/18/02 Fish – R. Jason Fish of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002. Born on June 15, 1970, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of Robert Joe and Imogene (Baker) Fish. Surviving are his mother, Imogene, of Bedford, IN; one sister, Reba Jane Westerfield of Bedford, IN; two brothers, Bob Fish and Rennie Fish, both of Bedford, IN; two nieces, Amanda Wagner and Sarah Fish; and two nephews, Brent Reynolds and Jesse Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparants. He was a pipefitter for Harrell-Fish, Inc. in Bloomington. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and a board member of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association. He was a manager of the 1990 BNL State Basketball team. Pleasant Christian Cemetery Association. 09/17/02 Callahan – Alma Ruth Callahan of Bloomington, IN, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002, at Bell Trace Living Center in Bloomington. Born on April 26, 1915, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Othy and Letha (Sutton) Mark. She married Fred Callahan, who was the lyricist for the Hoagy Carmichael song "Washboard Blues", and he died in 1959. Surviving are one daughter, Susan Callahan of Bloomington, IN; two sons, Tim and Jon Callahan, both of Bloomington, IN; one step-son, Jack Callahan; four grandchildren: Tom, Susi, Christopher, and Bailey Callahan, all of Bloomington, IN. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Michael Callahan in 1937. A 1933 graduate of Bedford High School, she retired after being employed for fifteen years by the Lawrence County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Chase of Bedford, IN, died Monday, September 16, 2002, at Bloomington Hostpital. Born on March 7, 1926, in Medora, IN, he was the son of Maurice and Catherine (Hamilton) Chase. He married Evelyn Nelson on May 27, 1950, and she died April 3, 2001. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl Endris and Bedford, IN, and Lisa Schroeder of Los Lunas, NM; three brothers: Bob Chase, Joe Chase, and Richard Chase, all of Bedford, IN; four grandchildren: Miranda Murphy, Graham Endris, Jason Endris, and Libby Endris; one great-grandson, Riley Cox-Endris; and several nieces and nephews. He was a farmer and local politician serving as the clerk of Lawrence County, manager of the Bedford License Branch and the the local chairman of the Republican Party. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church, a veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Navy, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Gillen Post #33, Stone City Lodge #94 F.O.P. and Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F& AM. On April 25, 1969, he was made a Sagamore of the Wabash by Gov. Edgar D. Whitcomb. Services for John Chase will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21st, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Hall of Mitchell, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Monday, September 16, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on April 30, 1930, she was the daughter of Edward and Sally (Todd) Henderson. She married Richard Dale Rainey, Sr., and he preceded her in death. She then married Clovis Ollie Hall, and he also preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, R. Dale Rainey, II, and Gregory Rainey, both of Springville, IN; one daughter, Janet Basinger of Bedford, IN; two grandchildren, Mindy Rainey and Ronnie Rainey; three step-sons: Kenny Hall of Decatur, IL, Terry Hall of Jasper, IN, and Donnie Hall of Loogootee, IN; one step-daughter, Janice Cossler of Jasper, IN. She was preceded in death by both husbands; two brothers, Loren and Morris Henderson; and three sisters: Mariam Miller, Lydia Calvage, and Josephine Ford. She had worked at NWSC Crane and M.Fine & Sons. She attended Heltonville Methodist Church and was a member of the Bedford Boat & Sportsmen's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and the V.F.W. Kinder of Alexandria, IN, died Saturday, September 14, 2002, at St. John's Hospital in Anderson, IN. Born on July 13, 1907, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Howard and Kate (Worthington) Miller. She married Cecil Kinder, and he died on February 27, 1990. Surviving are one son, Donald Kinder of Salt Lake City, UT; two daughters, Barbara Kay Kinder of Needmore, IN, and Donna Hickerson of Alexandria, IN; three sisters: Charlotte Stevens and Alberta Leach, both of Wyoming, and Helen Ditton; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Bill Kinder; three brothers, one sisters, and one grandson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Williams Church of Christ. White – Carl David White of Vacaville, CA, died Sunday morning in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, while here visiting family. Born on December 24, 1936, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of the late Hobert and Bessie White. He married Nancy Lee Lantz on July 28, 1957, in Bedford, IN, and she survives. Surviving with his wife of Vacaville, CA, are three sons: Carl Dean (wife Julie) White of Denver, IN, Chris Duane (wife Roberta) White of San Diego, CA, and Craig Douglas White of Vacaville, CA; one daughter, Teresa Lee White of Dixon, CA; six grandchildren: Melissa (Husband Robert) Rood of Denver, IN, Zachary White of Denver, IN, Carly and Chelsea White, both of San Diego, CA, Nolan White of Vacaville, CA, and Maddie Rose White of Dixon, CA; athree great-grandchildren: ABriana, Robbie, and Rebecca Rood, all of Denver, IN; six brothers: Ben, Bob, Jerry, Roger, Marvin, and Mark White; and one sister, Vicky. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ron and Bill White; and one sister, Betty. He was retired from the United States Air Force after over twenty-one years of service and also retired from Chevron USA. Born on May 22, 1924, in Crete, IL, she was the daughter of William Thomas and Malinda Jane (Davis) Hardwick. She married Roscoe James Pavey on November 8, 1939, and he died on February 6, 1995. Surviving are three sons: Roscoe James Pavey II and his wife, Elva, of Bedford, IN, Carl Eugene Pavey and his wife, Dolly, of Lansing, MI, and Donald Edward Pavey and his wife, Barbara, of Bedford, IN; one daughter, Malinda Jane Adcock and her husband, Allen, of Bedford, IN; two sisters: Mavis (Hardwick) Lee and Anna Pearl (Hardwick) Woodard; grandchildren: David and Jame (Pavey) Herzner, Billy and Tammy (Pavey) York, Stephen and Luella Pavey, Karla Pavey, Timothy and Sarah Pavey, Donald and Carla Pavey II, Trisha Walker, Daniel and Deanna (Pavey) Venske, Wesley Pavey II, Jason and Jennifer Pemberton, Nathan and Krista Pemberton, and Brooke Pemberton; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Mary Lake, Maxine Sampson, and Leona Pavey; and one brother-in-law, Howard Wesley Pavey. She was preceded in death by her husband; one sonk Wesley Charles Pavey; five brothers: Joseph Melvine, Robert Leslie, Herbert Jackson, Dora Calvin, and Samuel Woodrow Hardwick; and four sisters: Martha Elizabeth Cultice, Nora Ellen Hardwick, Avis Marie Pace, and Gladis Louise Tomey; and one great-granddaughter, Heather Rose York. She was a homemaker and a member of the the Free Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir and a volunteer in the church office. Middleton of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 11, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on July 22, 1983, in Phoenix, AZ, he was the son of Philip and Debbie (Randolph) Middleton. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Debbie and Gene Henson of Bedford, IN; his father and step-mother, Philip and Donna Middleton of Bloomington, IN; paternal grandmother, Verla Jean Winings of Mesa, AZ; paternal grandfather, Edwin R. Middleton of Mesa, AZ; maternal grandmother, Imogene Randolph of Bedford, IN; one brother and sister-in-law, Philip D. and Misty Middleton of Bedford, IN; three nephews: Michael Bell, Eathan and Devon Middleton; three step-sisters: Cassie Benham of Bedford, IN, Bridgette and Alison Benham of Bloomington, IN; maternal step-grandmother, Wilma D. Born on August 27, 1938, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Ralph and Frances (Wilson) Embree. She married Herbert Allen on May 30, 1956, and he survives. Surviving with her husband are five sons: Mark Allen and his wife, Wanda, of Lawrence County, IN, Bryan Allen, Kevin Allen and his wife, Jessica, Jeff All and his wife, D'Andra, and Bradley Allen and his wife, Patricia, all of Bedford, IN; two step-children, Michael Allen and his wife, Carolyn, of Florida, and Carolyn Godsey and her husband, Wilburn, of Monticello, KY; one brother, Steve Embree of Nebraska; four sisters: Helen Jackson of Tampa, FL, Judy Weaver of Bedford, IN, Margie Morrison of Salem, IN, and Linda Mikels of Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of Gulletts Creek Baptist Church. Born on April 20, 1908, in Dabney, IN, she was the daughter of Clarence Arthur and Bertha (Martin) O'Brien. She first married Alfred Cummings, and he died in 1932. She later married Charles Lenz, and he he died in 1967. Surviving are two nieces, Beverly Dalton of Bedford, IN, and Bonnie Terrell of Leota, IN; one brother, Hillis W. O'Brien of Bedford, IN; and several nieces, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both husbands; one brother, Martin O'Brien; one sister, Geraldine Berrisford; and one nephew, George Berrisford. She was the owner of Alfred's restaurant in downtown Bedford from 1926 to 1974 and was a main stockholder in Bedford Cable Company. In 1967, she, along with her husband, Charles Lenz, was instrumental in bringing cable television to Bedford. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Born on March 21, 1934, in Daviess County, IN, she was the daughter of Hady E. and Nellie (Dwyer) Porter. She married Raymond Earl, and he died on November 18, 1999. Surviving are two sons: Tim and Tom Earl, both of Bedford, IN; her mother, of Evansville, IN; one brother, Ronnie Porter of Florida; and one granddaughter. Born on May 5, 1908, in Martin County, IN, she was the daughter of Matthew H. and Ada Pierce Eggers. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Alpha Clayton, Arlene Stephans, Delphia Zook Smith; and four brothers: John M. Eggers, Don Eggers, Arvel Eggers, and Raphael Eggers. She was admitted to practice law in 1930 and continued to practice in Indiana and the western states until 1957. She had been a member of McDoal Baptist Church in Bloomington, IN. There will be graveside services for Anna Easton at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 10th, at Mauldridge Cemetery in Lawrence County with the Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Day & Carter Mortuary. 09/06/02 Drehobl – Doris Kathleen "Katie" Deputy Drehobl of Hobart, IN, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 6, 2002, at Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home in Hobart. Born on April 26, 1925, in Mitchell, IN, she was the daughter of Paul and Carrie Cooper. She first married Pascal Kent Smith (deceased). She then married James Richardson Deputy on October 23, 1925, and he died March 9, 1965. She married Kenneth W. "Giz" Drehobl on June 4, 1981, and he died on February 20, 1985. Surviving are one son, James Leo Deputy of Reno, NV; three daughters: Penni Kay Helton and her husband, Richard, of Bedford, IN, Cynthia Ann Deputy-Pearsall and her husband, David, of North Carolina, Nan Jo Deputy-Jones and her husband, Joseph, of Gary, IN; her step-mother, Dorothy Cooper of Mitchell, IN; seven grandchildren: Katie Jo Drehobl-Triggs and her husband, Joseph, of Texas, Carrie Helton, Cpt. Amanda Akers-Vornholt, James (Mark) Deputy, Rhonda Deputy, Jeff Sanchez, and Nicholas Sanches; three great-grandchildren: Chloe Erin Vornholt, Joseph Kentral Triggs, and Carson Danielle Triggs; three sisters: Dana Neil of New Mexico, Joanne Edwards of Florida, and Mary Cooper (?); and one brother, James T. Cooper of Mitchell, IN. She was preceded in death by three husbands; one son, Ronnie Lee Smith; and one grandson, J.R. Helton. She was a nurse's aide at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford for twenty-five years and was an antique dealer in Bedford for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. There will be graveside services for Doris Drehobl at 3:30 p.m. Monday, September 9th, at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with the Rev. Bernie Cox officiating. There will be no visitation hours. Services are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home. Swartz – Shirley Ann Swartz of Bedford, IN, died Friday, September 6, 2002, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on November 23, 1935, in Lawrence County, IN, she was the daughter of Hubert and Flora (Hoopingarner) White. She married Claude Swartz on November 29, 1976, and he survives. Surviving with her husband are four daughters: Donna Jean May, Cathy Jo Baker, Stormi Swartz, and Kristie June Nelson, all of Bedford, IN; six sons: Tony Dale Spires, Robert Harold Spires, Danny Lee Spires, Randy Scott Swartz, Claude David Swartz, and Ricky Dean Spires, all of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Brenda Sue Jaggers and Donna Kay Lane, both of Mitchell, IN; two brothers, James Luther White of Tennessee and Gary Lee White of Mitchell, IN; twenty-one grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Linda Jamison and Debbie Spires; and two brothers, Donnie Lee White and Jackie Dale White. She was a homemaker and a member of Charity Chapel. Services for Shirley Swartz will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 9th, at Charity Chapel with Sister Becky Ryan officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
